LANDR accepts music created with the assistance of AI tools, but there are important platform-specific restrictions to be aware of. As a distributor, we oversee the delivery of artists’ content to streaming services and social media platforms, which means we must follow the content policies and technical requirements set by each of our partners.
LANDR will not approve any submit that unfairly or unlawfully impersonates an individual’s likeness. We prohibit the distribution of any content that infringes on another creator’s intellectual property rights and/or unfairly or unlawfully impersonates an individual’s likeness. These rules apply equally to works created with AI tools and those produced entirely without AI.
LANDR Distribution is not the place for a user to submit dozens of AI-generated tracks a month. That does a disservice to our other users, our distributor partners, and artists everywhere reliant upon those partners for streaming revenue. We consider that a form of "streaming spam" and you'd be better served elsewhere if that is your intent. We are leveraging state of the art detection technology to flag and identify AI-generated songs.
Distribution limits:
To help maintain the highest quality standards and great customer experience to all of our customers, artists may submit a maximum of five (5) AI-generated songs per calendar month per subscriber through LANDR. Exceeding this limit may result in delays, removal of excess submissions, or restrictions on future uploads.
Due to copyright concerns, and to remain in alignment with our policies on AI-generated music, we do not distribute AI-generated cover songs at this time.
In addition to LANDR's distribution limitations, some streaming services and social media platforms have their own restrictions and do not accept AI-generated content.

Documentation Requirements:
- You must have acquired all rights to your content, including any human contributions.
- While no supporting documents are required during upload, you must disclose during the upload process if your release contains AI-generated elements. We may request proof of rights if your content is flagged during review.
As the music distribution landscape is evolving rapidly, especially around AI-generated content, each DSP and UGC platform sets its own rules, which can change at any time. LANDR’s policy will adapt to remain compliant with these partner guidelines, and certain platforms may reject content that was previously accepted. We will update our public-facing policies when significant changes occur, but we encourage you to review our guidelines carefully before each submission.
