Protecting your account, content, and royalties is our top priority. To help prevent unauthorized access or if we suspect potential fraudulent activity, including artificial streaming manipulation, we may require identity verification through iDenfy, a secure third-party service. This ensures that only account owners can access their accounts and manage releases.

What is Identity Verification?
Identity verification confirms that you are the rightful owner of your distribution account. By submitting a valid ID and a real-time selfie, we can verify that your account is being accessed by its authorized user. This helps protect your royalties, content, and personal information.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Verification may be requested to:
- Protect your account and other users from unauthorized access.
- Ensure that royalties and releases are accurately attributed.
- You may also be asked to verify your identity if we suspect potentially fraudulent behavior or artificial streaming manipulation.
Who needs to verify their identity?
Not all users are required to verify their identity. Verification is only requested if we identify it as necessary for your account.
When required:
- Only the account owner can complete verification.
- Other users on the account will not have access until the owner has successfully verified their identity.
- Even if you are an owner on another account, you must be the owner of the specific account being verified.
How to Complete Verification (If Required)
- Log in to your distribution account.
- Complete 2-Factor Authentication if prompted.
- In the Distribution section, click Verify on the top banner to be redirected to iDenfy’s secure verification page.
- Select your country and ID type (passport, driver’s license, etc.).
- Upload your ID (front and back) and take a real-time selfie using your phone or computer camera.
- iDenfy will process your submission using automated checks and manual review. This usually takes a few minutes.
- Once verified, you will be redirected back to your distribution dashboard. If you do not hear from us, your verification was successful.
You cannot perform actions such as distributing new releases, editing your catalog, or withdrawing royalties until verification is complete.
Verification must be completed within 5 days. After that, the request will expire, and the account may be at risk of being banned and having content removed.
What if verification fails?
If verification is unsuccessful:
- Common reasons for failure include unclear photos, mismatched information, fake or invalid identification documents, or technical issues.
- Accounts that fail verification are at risk of full ban and content removal.
If you believe verification failed in error, contact our support team with your account information so we can help you retry.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Mistakes during submission: Reach out to support to correct any errors.
- Browser issues: Try clearing your cache and cookies before attempting verification again.
- Multiple accounts: If you’ve recently verified a different account with the same ID, iDenfy may flag your submission for additional review. Contact support if this happens.
Will I need to verify again in the future?
Once your identity has been verified, you typically will not need to repeat the process. If we require re-verification—for example, due to account ownership changes—we will notify you directly.
Changing Name or Address
Updates to your name or address alone do not require re-verification. However, if the account ownership changes completely, verification will need to be completed by the new owner.
Tips for Success
- Use a clear, valid ID with your face visible.
- Ensure your selfie is well-lit and your face is fully visible.
- Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
